We had a beautiful Easter yesterday and continue to celebrate during this Easter Octave!
The big news is: We have a house!
I need to do some things to make it work for us before we move in. I have someone to put in the wheelchair ramps. One ramp will go in the garage, so I don’t need to clear and de-ice it in the winter, the other will go to the backyard and there is a small step down into the living room. The bedroom in the basement needs to be finished, and it needs a door. There is a nice, fenced backyard with a wooden deck, a cement patio and plenty of room to play! This house has enough room in it and needs the least amount of work done before we move in, of the houses I looked at.
A big Thank you and God Bless to the family that made having a good home possible for The Family of the Good Shepherd!
The kids in the home are doing well! They have seen the house and know which room is theirs and are mostly excited! Our current house has many memories. The nice thing about memories is they come with us! We also have many more memories to make! Moving can also be a trigger for a child who has lived with multiple families. Even though they tell themselves they are moving with their family and pets, it is still a trigger because of the past. Please keep them in prayer during this time of adjustment.
The PO Box number and cell phone number remain the same.
