Guardian_Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here.  Ever this day be at my side, to light, and guard, to rule and guide.  Amen.

I love this feast day as I have always had a good relationship with my guardian Angel!  I am sure that one day I will see all the ways God aloud him to protect me that I am not able to see now!

It is also a great reminder that angels are a separate creation from mankind.  Angels do not become people and people do not become angels.  Angels were created before us and they guard us and protect us in all our ways.  While we are lower then them, they have never had the gift of receiving the Sacraments and being called the son or daughter of God through the Sacrament of Baptism!

Ps. 91:11; Heb. 1:14; Heb. 2:7  Just a few of the scriptures on Angels.

We had a beautiful trip out to the East Coast for Mass in Philadelphia with Pope Francis!  We took all 5 of the children living in the home and they traveled better then I thought they would!  Of course I make frequent stops (about every one and a half to two hours) and that helps for them to be able to get out of the van for a few minutes and run and go to the bathroom.

They also handled the long day in Philadelphia well!  We arrived in Philly about 10:30am. (we stayed with family in Maryland).  Stopped by St. Joseph’s church and continued on to down town.  It was a 4 hour wait to get through the checkpoint and into the area for Mass!  It was a guardian angel and Holy Spirit “moment” that the children handled the long wait and large crowd so well!  I think it helped that they could see plenty of other children around them!  Once in we watched on the Jumbo-Tran.  It was wonderful to see all the yellow and white umbrella’s bringing the priests with Jesus for us to receive!  (I wasn’t sure we were close enough to receive but we were!)  Just a completely blessed day, and the children still speak favorably about it!

Have a blessed weekend!
