This is labor day weekend. A day to honor all those who labor, and the gift of their skills. Labor is something we should honor. Jesus labored as a carpenter with Joseph until he began his public ministry, which was a different kind of labor. Even at the beginning in Scripture, it is recorded that God created for 6 days and rested on the 7th. He gave Adam and Eve to care for the garden, even before the first sin. So it is nice to have a weekend where we honor those who labor. Some labor so we can enjoy the weekend!
