Dear Family and Friends of The Family of the Good Shepherd,

Sorry I have been out of touch for so long!  Some exciting news: we have our 501© (3)!

To catch everyone up:

We have had 3 children successfully go home!  It is always good to get a call or text from the parents saying that things are going good!  Don’t worry we always have some children in the home.

In Jan. 2014 we took the kids in the home on a road trip to KC MO!  It was enjoyed by all and we were surprised at how well the children traveled.   We went to the Lincoln Zoo at the beginning of summer and the Omaha Zoo at the end of summer!  The children enjoyed both!

I still do respite and assist adoptive families in a variety of ways.  So when I at times have more than 6 kids it means I don’t have room for everyone in our 8 passenger van!

In March I went to Benedictine College in Atchison KS for their Vocations Day and had a booth as a new community in the beginning stages.  It is for Sisters and Priests from around the country to come and meet students who may have a vocation or just want information.  In Sept., I attended and had a booth @ the Nebraskaland Festival of Faith, and that too was a good experience!

We are looking for a better quality home for the children we serve.  With our 501© (3) we are asking for donations to help with the purchase, building or remodeling of a home!  We are needing $15,000-$20,000 for the down payment!

Thank you for assisting us with the children we serve!

In Jesus and Mary,

 Catherine Nagl
